NOTE: In order to operate this cordless chain saw, you will 

need to additionally purchase either the EcoSharp

®

 (model 

iBAT40) or EcoSharp

®

 PRO (model iBAT40XR) lithium-ion 

battery and either the EcoSharp

®

 charger (model iCHRG40) 

 

or the EcoSharp

®

 SWIFT charger (model iCHRG40QC).

1.  Carefully remove the chain saw and check to see that all 

of the above items are supplied.

2.  Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or 

damage occurred during shipping. If you find damaged or 

missing parts, DO NOT return the unit to the store. Please

  NOTE: Do not discard the shipping carton and packaging 

material until you are ready to use your new cordless 

chain saw. The packaging is made of recyclable materials.

toys. Do not let children play with plastic bags, foils, or small 

parts. These items can be swallowed and pose a suffocation risk!

Bar + Chain Mounting

 Always wear heavy-duty gloves when 

handling the bar and chain. Mount the bar and chain very carefully 

so as not to impair the safety and efficiency of the machine. If in

WARNING!

 Before mounting the bar and chain, make 

sure the battery (sold separately) is not inserted in its housing 

and verify that the chain brake is not engaged. This is done 

by pulling the front hand guard back towards the body of the 

machine.

  Unscrew the chain tension adjustment knob and remove 

the chain/sprocket end cover to expose the sprocket and 

access the area where the guide bar needs to be fitted 

(Fig. 1).

2.  Mount the chain in the right direction on the guide bar, 

following the symbol printed on the bar 

. If the tip of 

the bar has a nose sprocket, make sure the drive links are 

correctly inserted in the sprocket rims (Fig. 2).
