Emergency Stop Button
The emergency stop is a two-position, red push button.
y
Push the button inward to disconnect power to all
control circuits.
y
Pull the button outward to restore power.
Control Selector
Use the control selector to select between lower control
and upper control operation.
y
Place the arrow in the upper control position to
operate the aerial platform from the upper controls.
y
Place the arrow in the lower control position to operate
the aerial platform from the lower controls.
Ground Operation Button
The ground operation button must be pressed when
operating the platform raise or lower buttons from the
lower controls. The engine speed increases when the
button is held inward.
y
Hold the button inward continually to operate the
platform raise or lower buttons from the lower controls.
Platform Raise Button
The platform raise button is used to raise the platform.
y
To raise the platform, press and hold the ground op-
eration button and the platform raise button. Release
the buttons when the desired height is reached.
Platform Lower Button
The platform lower button is used to lower the platform.
y
To lower the platform, press and hold the ground op-
eration button and the platform lower button. Release
the buttons when the desired height is reached.
Chapter 6 – Controls
A
Danger
Pinch points may exist between moving components.
Death or serious injury will result from becoming
trapped between components, buildings, structures,
or other obstacles. Make sure all personnel stand
clear while operating the aerial platform.

Controls to position the platform are located on the
lower control panel on the chassis and on the upper
control panel in the platform.
y
Controls to drive the aerial platform are located on the
upper control panel only.
Outrigger Controls
The outrigger controls (refer to Figure 6.1) are located on
the right side of the chassis. Each handle corresponds to
one of the outriggers.

Hold the enable handle downward to activate the
outrigger controls.
y
Hold an outrigger handle downward to lower the cor-
responding outrigger leg.
y
Hold an outrigger handle upward to raise the corre-
sponding outrigger leg.
Lower Controls
The lower controls (refer to Figure 6.2) are located on
the right side of the chassis. Only platform functions can
be operated from the lower controls. The following are
located on the lower control panel:
