Network Name
– Input an SSID for the wireless network to which
you want to connect.
Operating Mode
– Set the adapter’s operating mode to 802.11
Ad Hoc for a network environment that does not have an access
point, or to Infrastructure for connections with an access point.
(See “Network Topologies” on page 33 for more information.)
Transmit Rate
– Indicates the data transmission rate. Select an
appropriate transmission speed. Lower speeds will give better
range.
The SMCWUSBS-N2 supports 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n
mode with maximum operation speed of up to 300 Mbps with
40 MHz operating mode. The Wireless USB Adapter is
backwards compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g connection
speed.
