Codec's are used to convert an analogue voice signal to digitally encoded
version. Codec's vary in the sound quality, the bandwidth required, the
computational requirements, etc. You can specify which audio coding
process you would like to use. This Barricade supports the following
codec's:

G.711 A law
•
G.711 U law
•
G.729
•
G.723.1
Support User-Agent Header
Enable or disables user-agent header support.
Enabling this feature includes user agent
information in the packet, e.g., the caller's ID may
be displayed.
Support Out of Band DTMF Check this box to enable support for Out of Band
Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF). DTMF
assigns a specific frequency (consisting of two
separate tones) to each key so that it can be easily
identified by a microprocessor.
Call Hold Version
Select the Call Hold version supported by your
VoIP provider. Contact your provider to check if
Call Hold is supported and what version to use.
