
12 Safety Instructions
12.1 Location
Avoid exposing the smartup
box
to sun rays or other sources of heat for extended periods
of time.
Do not expose the device to humidity to reduce the risk of fire or electrocution. The device
is not to be brought in contact with liquids and no filled or heavy objects should be put
upon it.
Do not expose the smartup
box
to high amounts of steam.
12.2 Power Supply
Avoid overloading your power supply, never add too many consumers to any power outlet,
connection plug board or similar.
Batteries/accumulators may not be exposed to excessive heat. (e.g. sun rays, fire)
12.3 Remote
If you will not use the remote for a long time remove the batteries and preserve them
appropriately.
Handle damaged or leaking batteries carefully and thoroughly wash your hands with soap
if you get in contact with leaked chemicals.
Do not use a new with an old battery at the same time for the remote to avoid reducing the
batteries' lifespan.
Dispose of used batteries according to local law.
As per WEEE terms the smartup
box
may not be disposed with domestic waste in Europe.
