EDID MANAGEMENT
EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) is how information is sent from a screen or sink device to a video
source, informing the source of various things such as max resolutions and refresh rates supported, colour
depth capabilities, manufacturer name and model number and various other parameters. Here at Smart-e we
recommend a program developed by EnTech Taiwan called MonInfo, below is an example of the real-time
information which may be read from a screen attached to a PC with MonInfo software installed.
