4 Mounting the Device

4.1 Mounting Location

Observe the following surrounding conditions:

• The Schoolmeterbox is only suitable for indoor installation.
• The maximal cable length between the Schoolmeterbox and the consumption meter should not 

exceed 0.5 m.

• The Schoolmeterbox power supply plug requires a socket.
• The maximal cable length of the RS485 bus cannot exceed 1,200 m. 
• The Schoolmeterbox can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

4.2 Mounting the Schoolmeterbox on the Wall

Mounting accessories provided

1. Choose the mounting location as described in section 4.1„Mounting Location“ (8).
2. Check the minimum distances against the illustration and mark the position of the drill holes.

3. Drill the holes and attach the wall bracket to the wall using the anchors and screws.
