Modem Connections
Connect the
SW-10 Satellite Modem
cables as shown in the figure.
1. Shut down and turn off your computer before
you start the
installation.
2. Plug the phone cable into the socket marked
Line
and plug the
other end of the cable into the phone outlet on
the wall.
3. Plug the Ethernet network cable into the
socket marked
Ethernet
and the other end of the cable into
the computer’s
network socket.
The
SW-10 Satellite Modem
supports 10Mbps transfer speed only.
The
SW-10 Satellite Modem
does not have to be installed solely as a stand-alone device; it can also
be installed to work through a Network HUB, Switch or Router device.
However, you must be aware of the different cabling required when working through these devices.
To connect the PC to the Hub/Switch/Router and then to the modem, you will need to replace the Ethernet
cross-cable provided with your installation kit with two standard (straight through) Ethernet network cables
and also ensure that your network hub or switch supports 10Mbps transfer speeds. Your dealer will be able
to give some advice concerning the correct cable.
4. Connect the satellite antenna cable connection to the socket marked
LNB
.
5. Connect the power supply unit to the
12V/1.25A
power socket.

Restart
your PC.
