Connections and Settings
After having installed the light effect, it can be connected to the mains, eventually via a switch pack. As
this light effect has its own dimmer circuit, it is not necessary to connect it to a dimmer pack.
-
Check before use that the ventilation system is not obstructed. The fan is temperature
controlled and is activated at a temperature above 50°C and switches only off once the
temperature has dropped below 40°C.
-
The barn doors are used to determine the dispersion of the light beam. Make sure that the
light effect is never switched on with closed barn doors. This might seriously damage the unit.
-
Only for use with dichroic filters. Never use gel filters. To protect the filters it is recommended
to close the barn doors during transport.

3-CHANNEL DMX MODE
The light effect is fitted with a DMX input and output allowing several units to be connected together. If
the light effect is used alone or is the last one in a chain, the DMX output must be connected to a so-
called “terminator”. This is an XLR plug with a 120 Ohms resistor between pin 2 and 3.
For DMX operation put the MODE switch to OFF.
The DMX address is set by the position of the DIP switches 1 to 9 according to following table. If e.g.
the DMX address is set to 42, the brightness is controlled via channel 43, the colour through channel
44 and the fader through channel 45.
(The values of the DIP switches are as follows: 1=1, 2=2, 3=4, 4=8, 5=16, 6=32, etc.)
1 = ON, 2 = OFF
Prior to setting the effect, you need to put the fader to the minimum. Only then you can set the
brightness to the required value and after that the colour. If you wish to change the tint, you can set
the fade control to the required colour intensity.
MIDI MODE
This light effect is fitted with a MIDI in- and output. Like DMX, this can be used to control several units
at the same time with the same signal. The red LED lights up when the unit is switched on. If flashes
green during 0.5 seconds when it receives a control signal.
