1.  Enter the old pin code plus * [PIN *].

a. 

Example, 1234*.

2.  Enter the new pin code from 2 to 8 digits plus *, twice.

a. 

Example, 5678* and again 5678*.

3.  Do not press the learn button on the operator. The 

keypad is already programed to the operator and this 
step is not required.

4.  To open and close the door, press the new pin code plus 

# [PIN #]. 
a. 

Example, 5678 # for single door.

                    5678 # 1 for multiple door.

If you forget your pin code, to reset the pin code:

1.  Remove the battery.

2.  While the battery is out, hold [*] and [#] buttons together.

3.   While holding both buttons put the battery back in.

4.  Keep holding both buttons for about 5 seconds until you 

hear a long beep.

 

This resets the pin code back to 0000. 

5.  Because the keypad has been reset, follow Sections 3-7 

for initial setup and to program the keypad to the 
operator.

1.  Undo the screw (1) on 

the bottom side of the 
keypad (A) and remove 
the back plate.

2.  Insert an AAA battery.

3.  Mount the back plate 

(B) with the mounting 
accessories (2).

4.  Attach the keypad on 

the back plate and 
tighten the screw (1) on 
the bottom of the 
keypad.

When the operation range is reduced, or when the 
backlight LED does not  flash during operation, it is time to 
replace the battery.

1.  Undo the screw (1) on the back plate of the keypad.

2.  Pry out the back plate from the keypad.

3.  Take out the old battery (2) from the keypad.

4.  Place the new battery (2) in position. Beware of the 

polarity.

5.  Close the back plate and re-insert the screw (1).

The door opener does not react after I press the button 

on the keypad transmitter.

A.  Ensure you hear 3 beeps from the keypad transmitter 

after entering--

[Password] [#] 

OR 

[Password] [#] [Door Number] 

--for multiple door operation. If you don’t hear 3 beeps 
that means you have entered the incorrect password. 
Re-enter the password.

 

Ensure the keypad transmitter has been programmed to 

the Smart Button™ or garage door opener. Refer to 
Sections 3-8 on how to program a keypad to the receiver.
