Safety

VDE 0100 and VDE 0800 guidelines must be complied during installation. (Germany)
Counter measures:

Before beginning any work, deactivate and disconnect all energized electrical wires.

Secure the switched off/disconnected lines against erroneous reconnection.

Use a measuring device to make sure that the wires are de-energized.

Cover up any adjacent, energized or conducting components.

All work and all electrical connections must comply with the national provisions for the country in question and
must be performed by appropriately trained personnel.
Mounting, installation, reparation and initial setup must be carried out by qualified elec
-
tricians only! When working on systems with 230 V alternating voltage the safety require-
ments of DIN VDE 0100 must be complied with.
The SKS planning guide (can be downloaded from www.sks-kinkel.de) must be followed during installation!
3 DIP switches
The Status module has seven DIP switches. The first three (1, 2 and 3) are used to determine the operating mode. DIP
switches 4, 5 and 6 serve to connect the Diagnostic tool to the respective door station.
The last DIP switch does not have a function at this time and must not be changed!

Operation mode
When used as a Diagnostic tool for SKS 2- wire ausio BUS and 6-wire video BUS systems the device can be used
either with or without storing the data. Please contact our support team for more information.
