When inserting the glass neon electrodes twist them on and remember to twist them when
removing them. Failure to twist the electrodes may cause the metal caps on the end of the
electrodes to come off in the handle.
Caution: DO not drop or immerse the handle into water as this can cause the machine to short, damaging
the machine/handle and causing possible serious injury to the person(s) in contact with the machine.
About High-Frequency and Treatments
The high-frequency machine generates a current with a high rate of oscillation. This current is also known as
Telsa Current. The action of this current is thermal, heat producing and germicidal. Due to the rapid oscillation
of the current, there are no muscle contractions caused. The physiological effects are stimulating.
As the current energizes the glass electrodes tiny sparks are emitted. The glass electrodes are filled with a neon
gas which lights up an orange-red color. Some manufacturers use a blue/purple colored argon gas. Regardless
of the color gas, the stimulation is the same as are the germicidal effects.
Some of the Benefits of High Frequency
•
It stimulates circulation of the blood.
•
It increases glandular activity.
•
It aids in elimination and absorption
•
It increases metabolism.
•
Germicidal Action occurs during use.
•
It generates heat inside the tissues.
•
It aids in deeper penetrations of products into the skin.
Firstly, the skin should be well cleansed and exfoliated. Afterwards use the high-frequency current on
blemishes and areas of acne breakouts. Keep the electrode in motion and be careful not to leave the electrode in
one spot for too long. If the electrode were left in one spot for too long, the high-frequency will discolor the
skin. In most cases, this is temporary. When treating a specific blemish, use the curved spot applying 2 to 3
times for no more than 5 seconds. If you client has sensitive skin, you may choose not to do spot treatments.
