MOVING LOADS AND DOING WORK
Working with your Vehicle
Your vehicle can help you perform a number of different LIGHT
tasks ranging from pulling a load to carrying cargo. A variety of
accessories are available from your authorized Ski-Doo dealer. To
prevent possible injury, follow the instructions and warnings that
accompany the accessory. Always respect the load limits of the
vehicle. Overloading the vehicle can overstress the components
and cause failure. Avoid overexerting yourself if you lift or pull heavy
loads or manually push the vehicle.
Carrying Loads
WARNING
Always reduce your speed when carrying load or a cargo car-
rier.
Any load carried on the vehicle including a passenger and/or the
carrying rack will affect the handling, stability and braking distance of
the vehicle. Do not exceed the total load allowed for this vehicle, in-
cluding the weight of the occupant(s), cargo, accessories and cargo
carrier tongue weight. Refer to
SPECIFICATIONS
. Always make
sure the cargo is secured and cannot interfere with controls lights.
Always be aware that the cargo may slide or fall off and cause an
accident. Avoid loads that may protrude sideways and get snagged
or caught in bushes or other obstacles.
WARNING
The vehicle handling, stability and braking distance are af-
fected when loading rear cargo area and using the vehicle.
Correct loading and weight distribution are therefore impor-
tant. Never overload, tow or carry cargo improperly. Always
ensure the cargo is safely secured before operating the vehi-
cle. Safely reduce speed according to terrain conditions when
carrying cargo or pulling a cargo carrier, and avoid hills and
rough terrain. Allow greater distance for braking, especially
on inclined surfaces and when a passenger is on board. Be
careful not to skid or slide. Always secure cargo as low as
possible to reduce the effect of a higher center of gravity. Fail-
ure to follow the recommendations here could cause changes
in vehicle handling which could lead to an accident.
