3. Overview, functional description
3.4.7 Pressure gauge
See items 5/6
For each aerosol generator in the system,
two pressure gauges are installed in the
control cabinet door.
The pressure gauge designated “Air” (
6
) in-
dicates the inlet air pressure and the gauge
designated “Aerosol” (
5
) indicates the inter-
nal reservoir pressure.
If the MQL system operates intermittently
(see Chapter 3.3), the pointer of the pres-
sure gauge “Aerosol” alternates between
two values. This fluctuation in the display is
system-inherent and does not indicate an
error condition.
3.4.8 Fine ilter for compressed air
See item 11
The compressed air supply of the system is
equipped with a fine air filter that ensures
the necessary cleanliness of the air for
aerosol
generation and separates any humidity from
the compressed air.
3.4.9 Lubricant drain valve
See item 8
The lubricant in the reservoir can be
drained through the lubricant drain valve.
The lubricant drain valve is actuated manu-
ally. See Chapter 11, “Maintenance,” for
further information on draining the
lubricant.
3.4.10 Safety valve
See item 10
To protect the aerosol generator from exces-
sive pressure increase, all system designs
have an automatic safety valve on the upper
part of the device.
