1.
MEMORY:
Flip open the rubber dust & water cover toward the right side of the camera and install a SD memory
card. The camera will not save and store images without this memory card installed.
2.
POWER:
Insert a fully charged battery into the base of the camera’s hand grip.
3.
START:
Open the lens cap by pinching the buttons on the lens cap. Now press and hold the
Power
button (upper
left keypad) for 2 to 3 seconds until you see activity on the display.
Note:
To turn the camera off, press and hold this
button again.
4.
FOCUS:
Rotate the manual focusing ring either clockwise (focuses closer) or counter-clockwise (focuses farther).
5.
AUTO ADJUST (Level and Span):
By default, when you turn the camera on, it is in the Auto Mode (Level and
Span continuously adjusts automatically).
6.
MANUAL ADJUST (Level and Span):
To manually adjust Level and Span, press the On/Off/Menu, then
highlight Level/Span and highlight L/S? and push the On/Off/Menu button. You will notice the top and bottom
number will be highlighted and can now be adjusted. To adjust the span, use the ►◄ buttons. Using the left button
will narrow the span and the right button expands the span. To adjust level, use the ▲▼ buttons. The up button
raises the level to higher temperatures and the down button lowers the level to lower temperatures. When the
camera is in Manual Mode, there will be an L/S displayed in the upper left corner of the LCD screen.
Note:
the highlighting and ability to change level and span will time out in a few seconds of inactivity. To reactive/re-
highlight them, merely push the A button. Then use the directional arrows to adjust Level and Span.
