3.6.4 Recommendations
Before using the microscope, take time to look at the glass plates. The human eye can
detect particles sized 40 microns, which are already big contaminants.
In the lower magniication, the observable window is about 2 mm and 1 mm for the bigger
magniication. This gives an idea of real size of contaminants.

Making the particles rotate can scratch the glass plates. Consider to change the glass plates
