CARDAN SHAFT MAINTENANCE

 

More detailed information may be found in the Cardan shaft manual, which, together with this 
manual, forms an essential part of the accident-prevention documentation. It is your responsibility to 
read and comply with this documentation. 
If information given in this manual conflicts with that given in the Cardan shaft manual, you should 
follow the instructions given by the Cardan shaft manufacturer. 

MAINTENANCE OF SLIDING PARTS  

1

Turn the two eccentric pins on the ferrule until the protective cone 
comes free.

Withdraw the shaft protective guard

 

3

Cheek the condition of the ferrule and all protective parts. 

 

4

Lubricate the supporting ferrule seating. 

 

5

Refit the supporting ferrule.

 

6

Reattach the protective guard to the Cardan shaft by turning the 
eccentric pins on the supporting ferrule.
