Instruction manual for the SWISSCHARGER ONE-FOR-ALL
Congratulations on your purchase of the SWISSCHARGER ONE-FOR-ALL power supply / recharging unit. Bringing together innovative design and
advanced, versatile technology based on the model of the well known “Swiss Pocket Knife” this powerful device is intended to be your long-term,
reliable companion wherever you go.
1.ONE-FOR-ALL
The name says it all: ONE CHARGER FOR ALL THE GADGETS! Instead of dragging along a
separate power supply / recharging unit for every single device you need on the road, you can
now reduce the weight of your backpack by relying on SWISSCHARGER “ONE”. For charging
that MP3-player, your cell phone, smartphone, iPad/webpad, the digital camera, camcorder,
navigation system, satellite phone or even a bulky netbook – SWISSCHARGER “ONE”
is all
you need to make your life easy!
2. INPUT: ready for direct and alternating current
Wherever in the world you are – the SWISSCHARGER “ONE” is ready to use and convert any
power source to alternating current and is designed to automatically adapt to varying AC
voltages of 100-240V and current frequencies between 50-60 Hertz. Of course, it can also be fed
by 11-16V direct current you will typically find in a car, boat, on planes as well as when using
solar panels
.
3. A versatile travel adapter – go, adapt to the world!
Check out the remarkable, patented
SIS
tech
power plug
with the built-in world travel adapter.
The corresponding plugs are as easy to flip out as the use of a Swiss Pocket Knife. A tiny plastic
key
to unlatch UK power sockets is located at the lower end of the adapter jack. Don’t forget
to pull it out, otherwise you’ll have a hard time trying to use mains in the UK.
Let’s have a look at all the power socket types and the variety of countries covered by this tiny
power plug: Europe – USA – Asia – UK – Japan - Australia

4. The universal DC INPUT plug
The SIStech universal DC input plug consists of both, the standard 20mm cigarette lighter
adapter plug
as well as the EmPower plug
widely used for personal power supply on
planes. You can separate both plug parts by pressing the push-button lock.
5. The universal DUAL OUTPUT
Thanks to the DUAL OUTPUT feature you are now ready to power or charge many kinds of
devices:
A
: High Power DC
devices with 12-20V, 3A, 65W such as netbooks, a variety of notebooks
satellite phones, air- or water pumps, compressors, portable refrigerators and many more.
B
: Low Power DC
devices with 5V/1A typically using the USB plug – such as cellular phones,
the iPhone, iPod, mp3-players, navigation systems/GPS, LED light sources, AA/AAA
rechargeable batteries and so on.
Both power ports can be used independently and simultaneously still operating at full capacity.
6. Automatic or manual voltage adjustment
SWISSCHARGER “ONE’s” High Power DC output
features the brand-new DPS (Digital
Power Scan) function for the automatic detection of the required output voltage (sliding switch
at the auto-detection position
). In case the automatic scan does not manage to detect the
right voltage, the blue
STD (Self Tuning Denied) LED starts flashing and thus requests you to
push the slide switch to the manual mode (Manual-control ). By pressing the black round
button (Voltage-adjust) the charger lets you manually set the Voltage to 12V, 15V, 16V, 19V
or even the 20V your device may require. The manual voltage control is also good in case the
device detects the wrong voltage for your gadget.
IMPORTANT: Please check and double-check the required output voltage by having a look at
the label of your device’s original power adapter. If it’s not legible anymore, sometimes the
corresponding instruction manual may help.
In case of automatic digital power scan (DPS) failure please disconnect the power adapter from
the mains and wait until the LCD indicator display turns off. Once the “ONE” power supply unit
managed to automatically detect the right voltage (or you manually set it), the voltage adjustment
is locked after 3 minutes of unit usage and for safety reasons can’t be readjusted until you
disconnect it from the mains and plug it in again. The scan- and adjustment menu always starts
at the safe 12V mode. While scanning for the right output voltage the “ONE” device temporarily
turns off the USB socket and turns it on again after the scan is done.
