Preparing an exposure
5.1.1
Switching the unit ON
Set the main power switch to position

When doing so, be sure not to turn or press the release
button (7) or the time selector (5).
After the power is switched on, a self-test executes for
approx. 5 seconds and the software status is displayed.
The exposure time set prior to the last exposure is then
displayed. At the same time the standby indicator lamp
(2) lights up.
When the
Digital
mode indicator
(6) also lights up, the
digital radiographic technique is selected (see next
page).
The unit is ready for operation.
NOTE
i
If an error is detected during the self-test, this will be
indicated on the digital exposure time display (4)
(see chapter entitled "List of error codes").
If the standby LED (2) does not light up, the unit is
not ready for operation!
Switch the unit OFF and ON again.
CAUTION
If the same error occurs again, please contact your
service technician.
