System Settings
To configure alarms
1.
In the left-hand menu, select
Alarm configuration
as shown in figure 5.10.
2.
Under Alarm Switch, select
On
or
Off
to enable or disable the alarm function.
3.
Under Alarm Type, select the alarm type,
Normal close
or
Normal open
, corresponding to
the alarm application.
4.
Under Alarm Output, define the normal output signal status as
high
or
low
according to
the current alarm application.
It is important that the Alarm Output settings correspond with the Alarm Type. Normal
close corresponds with Output high and Normal open corresponds with Output low.
5.
Check the boxes
Send Alarm Message by FTP
or
Send Alarm Message by E-Mail
as
appropriate to your system.

Make sure the SMTP or FTP configuration has been completed as described
in sections 5.5 Mail and 5.6 FTP.
Activating an alarm configuration
After enabling or configuring the alarm, you must save the alarm settings in order to activate
the camera’s alarm mechanism. The camera will then transition from a normal to an alarm
state. Alarms won’t trigger during this transition period.
