Sipura SPA-2000 Faq Download Page 2

3.  When I attempt to make a call using SPA2000, I hear fast busy?

a)  Verify if valid account is inserted for the port. Go to Line 1 or 2, make

sure User ID and Password is set.

b)   Also make sure with Reseller if account is not expired or if it has money.

4.  How do I upgrade the device?

The firmware file(s) can be downloaded from sipura support area or alternatively
you can get it from local reseller.
The files are packaged in zip-compressed format. It contains a windows binary
".exe" and the raw firmware ".bin" file. Upgrading your SPA can be done via two
methods:

a)  By running the windows executable from windows machine.

When run, it will ask for SPA's IP-address.  It will then try to identify the
SPA, and perform the upgrade. Please don't power off at this time.

b)  Alternatively, you can put the raw firmware image "spa.bin" to a reachable

tftp server, Go to your web browser, and type in:
http://spa-ip-address/upgrade?tftp://tftp-server-ip/spa.bin
With our current firmware 1.0.30 and above, you can use http in place of
tftp method. During the 40-seconds upgrade process, please don't unplug
the power.

5.  I am having trouble upgrading the SPA2000?

When you run the upgrade utility from the computer, it sends the embedded
upgrade file via port 69 or 70, 71... if avail. Upgrade will begin when the SPA is
not in use. If it is stuck at "...Firmware upload will begin only when SPA is idle",
make sure:
- Hangup your phone properly on both lines
- Disable any firewall software (such as Internet Connection Firewall) on your
PC.
- Make sure the PC and your SPA are on the same LAN subnet. It won't work for
example, if your PC is behind wireless router and your SPA is in front of the
router.

6.  I am having one way audio on all calls?

Make sure your firewall is not blocking packets. Also if you have tried to change
the configuration on your device recently, use the installation guide to put the
working configuration back on to the device.

7.  How do I configure the dial plan?

Go to Line1 or 2, under Dial Plan insert dial plan configuration separated by “|”.
Net2phone expects dialed number in following format.  For US numbers, it must
start with 1 and for non-US numbers dialed number must start with 011.
For example,
- [2-9]xx xxxx, 7-digit local number (cannot start with 0 or 1)
- 1 xxx xxx xxxx, US long distance, 1 + area code + local number
- 011 xxxxxx x. US interna 6 or more digits
- <:011> [2-9].,  adds "011" to the number starting with digit 2-9.
- <111:[email protected]:5060>, pressing 111, will dial the following IP address.
<####:****> pressing ####, will dial ****. To Get around the IVR trigger.
