Hunting is as old as humanity itself. it has made us what we
are today. our ancestors, early humans, moved across the
expanses of the palaeolithic Age as hunters and gatherers
in search of prey. if they were successful, and were able
to combine their strengths to take down a mammoth, for
example, the tribe would have an abundance of highly
nutritional food.
Rich in protein, such food promoted brain development.
our forefathers became more intelligent and creative. They
began to move away from the pure essentials such as hunting
for food towards creating art. in the caves of southern France
and northern Spain, hunters used ochre and charcoal finger
paintings on the cold and damp rock faces to ward off that
which was so important to the people, on which their lives
depended, what they tried to control with magic rituals: bison,
mammoths, wild boars – prey. The birth of our culture.
The craftsman skills of our ancestors also continued to
develop, making their hunts more successful. They used
everything from their prey and became increasingly skilled
at crafting things that made their lives easier and more
comfortable. Hides and skins were used to make clothing.
Mammoth ivory was carved into charming animal figures.
bones were turned into useful tools for everyday use such
as bone flutes, which were also used to communicate with
fellow hunters over long distances. This marked the beginning
of instrumental music.
Many things that play an important role in our lives
originated from hunting. yet very few people are aware of
this. Almost everything that is beautiful and built around us,
that makes life worth living, originated from hunting. Today,

manifestation of the continued archaic and inherent need
for development. And at the same time, a reminder of our
cultural heritage.
