6. When the pressure gauge pointer pointed to green position, you can set the steam
adjustment.
7. Check the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with the local network
before connecting the appliance to the supply mains.
8. The appliance uses ordinary tap water.
9. If the water is very hard (hardness higher than 27 degrees French). we suggest using
distilled or demineralized water.
10. Always remove the plug from the power socket before filling the boiler
11. Unscrew the cap and pour in about 1.0L of water.
12. After closing the cap, connect the appliance to the power supply.
13. Press the boiler’s switch and wait for the water to start boiling (about 8 minutes).
Next, press switch to turn on the iron and then select the desired temperature by
means of the thermostat knob . When the light goes off, the set temperature has
been reached and the iron is ready for use. It takes about 8 minutes for the boiler to
reach the optimum ironing pressure.
14. When the steam generator is ready for steam, the steam ready indicator light (6) will
light up.
15. When using the iron for the first time, iron a plain cloth first.
16. To obtain steam, press the steam button. If there is no steam when you press the
steam button, release the steam button when steam is no longer required.
Attention: Never allow the steam to flow out of the iron while it is resting on the
stand provided.
If the jet of steam decreases while you are ironing, the boiler tank is
running out of water
.
Attention:
The boiler is always under pressure!
How to fill the boiler while the appliance is being used
To continue ironing. Top up as follows:
- Switch off the boiler. Select the desired temperature ”MIN” by turning the thermostat
knobs .
- Release the pressure left in the boiler, keeping the steam button on the iron pressed
down until no more steam comes out of the plate. Then switch off the iron.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
- Wait for the iron and the boiler to cool down.
- Unscrew the cap and wait a few minutes.
- Slowly pour 1.0L of water into the opening
- Always using the funnel provided.
- Close the boiler and fully tighten the cap.
- Press the boiler switch.
- Wait for steam pilot lamp to light up before continuing ironing.
CAUTION! Never attempt to open the cap while the boiler is under pressure.
Never unscrew the boiler cap when the appliance is connected to the outlet.
The iron may smoke slightly when switched on for the first time - this
is normal and will soon cease.
If the iron remains unused for a long period of time (a few weeks), we suggest that the
steam button be pressed for about 30 seconds with the iron in horizontal position, as to
clean the internal steam ducts, before you start your ironing session.
It is not necessary to completely fill the boiler tank for short ironing sessions. One
measure (or less) of water is sufficient as to reduce the waiting time and save electric
energy.
Dry ironing
To iron without steam, first connect the appliance to the mains supply, press the switch,
then select the desired temperature by turning the thermostat knob. Wait until the pilot
lamp goes off, indicating that the desired temperature has been reached.
For dry ironing it is not necessary to press the steam button.
Temperature selection
First of all, check if there is a label with ironing instructions attached to the article to be
ironed. Compare the symbol on the label with the table below.
If ironing instructions are missing, but you are familiar with the fabric, the table below may
help you.
The table refers to fabrics that have been sized. If the fabrics have not been sized, they
may be ironed at a lower temperature.
