1 Heat pump connection to the LAN network
Heat pump Sinclair is equipped with a web server, which gives the possibility to display current
status of heat pump or if necessary to change its settings through web interface. This can be done
with the equipment using web browser (PC, SmartPhone, tablet), which is connected to the same
LAN network.
If the LAN network is connected to the internet via router, the heat pump can (based on your
settings) send data related the operation and settings to the Sinclair control center, which gives the
possibility to service engineers to optimize the heat pump to the maximum performance or analyze
possible faults. No personal data are acquired and sent out.
Fig. 1: Example of heat pump connection to the LAN network
Connection of heat pump is made with a standard Ethernet cable with RJ45 connector, which is
connected to any free LAN port of the main router (see Fig. 1).
Factory default setting of the heat pump is the automatic network connection using DHCP protocol.
After connection to the network, heat pump asks DHCP server (this function is mostly done by the
router) for its IP address and supplementary data (Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS).
If you do not use DHCP in your network, then it is necessary to set heat pump IP address manually
according to the settings of your network (please contact your network administrator).
All necessary settings are accessible from heat pump operation panel in menu LAN settings (for
more details see Heat pump operation manual). Here you can also see the current heat pump
IP address, which you will use for web interface in your web browser.
