PLEASE NOTE
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or
hard brushes) to clean the appliance. This could damage the stainless-steel finish.
• Never immerse the jug or base in water. Never put them in a dishwasher.
• Make sure that the electrical connections do not become damp.
• Before cleaning, make sure that the appliance is not connected to the power supply
and that it has cooled down.
Descaling the Jug
A layer of scale can form in the jug, especially in areas with hard water. You can descale
the jug if you so require. You can descale the jug using vinegar or lemon juice.
With lemon juice:
1. Boil 1 L of water (see ‘Boiling water’).
2. Add 50 ml of lemon juice.
3. Allow the solution to soak for 1 hour, without returning the solution to the boil.
With vinegar:
1. Fill the jug with 500 ml of vinegar.
2. Allow this to soak for 1 hour, without boiling.
After descaling, rinse the jug thoroughly with clean water.

• Never descale the jug using agents other than lemon juice or vinegar. Other products
could be harmful to your health and/or damage the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
• If water is too full inside the kettle, the boiling water can spray out. The kettle must
be used together with the base.
• This appliance is to be used in household and other places such as: Kitchen of shops,
office and other working place; hotel, motel and other living places for guests; bed room
and the places for taking breakfast
