Unpacking
1.
Verify shipping damage has not occurred.
Contact SimXperience immediately
with pictures if you observe
shipping damage and
do not open the package
! If the package is too badly damaged an insurance claim will be
filed and a new unit shipped. You should also consider refusing
the delivery at this juncture.
2.
Remove metal straps from package with heavy duty scissors or
tin snips.
BE VERY CAREFUL
when doing this as the straps have a
lot of tension and can harm you or someone close if you’re not
careful.
It would be wise to wear eye protection to be safe.
3.
Once the straps are removed, you can open the box to expose
the GS-5 and components.
4.
Carefully remove the seat and components. Everything will be
plastic wrapped together and then bolted to a 24
”
x24
”
piece of
wood.
5.
First
carefully
remove the two zip ties holding the cables in place
(image right) with wire cutters or scissors. Be very careful not to
cut into or damage the cables. Set cables aside.
6.
Remove the plastic wrap by hand.
If you use a knife or box
cutter, you could damage the seat.
7.
Separate all the components and then remove the 4 nuts from
the carriage bolts that attach the GS-5 to the 24
”

plywood
sheet that was used for packaging. (Image Below Right)
8.
Using a 10mm Socket or Wrench and Crescent wrench, remove
the two bolts that attach the aluminum shipping bracket. (shown in picture below).
