Applications

Simrad’s PI SeineSounder provides

you with the accurate vertical position

of the gear.

Purse seine

The PI SeineSounder is mounted

vertically below the footrope. From

this position it transmits accurate

information about the height above

the seabed and the depth.

Trawl and Danish seine

The PI SeineSounder is mounted

horisontally behind the headrope.

In order to use the PI SeineSounder

both vertically on a purse seine and

horizontally on a trawl, the echo

sounder inside the sensor is equipped

with two transducers. Before you use

the sensor you must therefore “set

it up” with one of the sensor keys.

These are two special bolts provided

in a gift box.

•  LONG bolt for purse seine

•  SHORT bolt for trawl

The bolts are screwed firmly in,

but not tightened. Note that ordinary

bolts can not be used!
