Display presentations
depth is increasing or decreasing, this is shown with two arrows
and the variation in meters per minute. You can also see the
depth and distance changes as a function of time in a graphical
presentation.
When the readings are stable, the digits are shown in black
colour. If the contact is lost, the characters *** are shown in grey.
If the height is out of range, the displays shows ???.
Graphical presentation on PI44 and PI54
This section contains a procedure to explain how you can set up
the PI44 and PI54 to show you a graphical presentation of the PI
Spread/Depth data providing depth- and distance markers.

The purpose of the depth- and distance markers on the graphical
presentation is to keep an eye on how deep the trawl doors are
situated, and how far apart they are. The depth sensor in the PI
Spread/Depth sensor measures the distance from the sea surface
and down to the sensor, while the spread function communicates
with the Remote sensor on the starboard trawl door to measure
the distance.

Identify the sensor you wish to use, and make sure that
the sensor is connected to the PI system with correct
communication channels and update rates.
