FAULT FINDING
Note!
The AR68/AR77 is a sealed unit, and breakage of the security
seal will invalidate the warranty.
If trouble is encountered, make preliminary checks as described
below. If the problems remain unsolved, contact your nearest
Simrad dealer for assistance.
Symptom
Probable fault
Remedy
AR68/AR77 does not
operate.
No power or miswired power
connection.
Check incoming power
supply.
The repeater aligns
itself to zero and does
not respond to heading
input.
The dial r/- 35°.
The digital signal to the repeater is
either not present or the sentence
being sent is incorrect or has wrong
polarity.
Switch the unit off and on
again.
Lighting not visible
Damage to internal LED.
Damage to internal PCB.
Return to Simrad dealer for
service.
