cradle position

(newborns : 7.7 lbs to 11 lbs / 3.5 kg to 5 kg)

2

In this position, your  baby  will  feel  swaddled  like  in  the

womb, keeping the back, legs, & arms in a neutral position.

Stretch the fabric that is closest to your body (the  one  that

crosses under the second piece of  fabric) wide  open. This is

where you are going to place your baby.

Place  your   baby’s  back  & bottom inside  of  the  fabric  so

that the strip wraps around your  baby from both sides.

In this stage, your baby’s legs are still outside of  the  fabric.

Stretch the second, outer  strip  of  fabric  over  your  baby’s

legs and body.

Make sure to pull it tightly  and  keep  it  flat  so  that  your

baby is entirely cradled in the X of the fabric.

If need be, tighten the fabric on  both  sides at  the  rings  if

you feel like your baby is slouching against your body.

Make sure that at all times, your  baby’s  face  is  clear  and

visible for breathing.
