5. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
The inverter’s power
switch is on, the LED is lit
red and the cooling fan
does not run. No loads
are connected.
There may be a short circuit inside the
inverter. The red LED might indicate
that the inverter is in a state of
overcurrent protection.
Consult SimpliPhi regarding potential Little
Genny repair.
The battery input voltage may be
insufficient or too high.
Charge the battery.
The inverter’s power
switch is on, the LED’s
green color becomes dim
or turns red, and the
cooling fan does not run.
Connected devices’ / appliances’
power draw exceeds the inverter’s
power rating.
Disconnect the connected loads from the
inverter. Do not use the devices /
appliances that caused the inverter fault
with this inverter; use a higher Wattage-
rated inverter instead.
