15.2. Storing and selecting stations
15.2.1. Storing stations automatically
Press and hold the
SCAN
button on the device until the station search starts automat-
ically. All the stations found by the search are now stored automatically, one after the
other.
15.2.2. Storing a station manually
Tune in a station that you would like to store.
Press the
MEM
button. The programme position (e.g.
P01
) flashes in the display.
While the display is flashing, use the
M-/+
buttons to select the desired programme
position for this station.
Then press the
MEM
button again to store the station.
15.2.3. Selecting stations
Use the
M.
/
buttons on the remote control or
M-/M+
on the device to select
the desired station. The programme position (e.g.
P01
) appears in the display.
15.3. Stereo/mono reception
If the stereo reception is weak (there is noise interference), the reception signal can some-
times be improved by switching to mono reception.
Press the
MO/ST
button to switch between stereo and mono reception.
16. Playing back CDs and USB storage media
Press the
SOURCE
button once or several times until you see
CD
or
USB
on the dis-
play depending on the desired operating mode.
The description in the following section refers to CD and USB playback unless otherwise
stated.
16.1. Notes on the media
Note the following:
• Due to the numerous different file systems and file formats, connected USB memory
sticks cannot be guaranteed to function.
• Depending on the size of the data medium, it may take some time for the system to be
detected.
• Supported file systems are FAT16 and FAT32. The supported file format is MP3.
• Depending on the medium, certain functions may not be supported. For example, on
an audio CD you might not be able to select a folder or the track information.
• External hard disks are not supported.
