If you would like to use the small juicing cone
2 b
, remove this from the large juicing cone
2 a
by using your thumb and index finger to exert
pressure on the sides of the large juicing cone
2 a
(see Fig. D). Use the large juicing cone
2 a
for larger fruits such as oranges and the small
juicing cone
2 b
for small fruits such as lemons.
Place a collecting vessel, e.g. a glass, under
the spout
5
.
Preparing citrus fruits
The product is made so that citrus fruits (e.g. limes,
lemons, oranges) can be appropriately squeezed
based on their size.
For an optimal juice yield, use the ripest fruits possi-
ble, which contain more juice.
Cut the citrus fruits in half across the fruit seg-
ments, so that you get an upper and a lower
half and all fruit segments are cut.
Initial use
Make sure that there are no
foreign objects in the sieve
3
or the product
when operating it.
Do not exert too much pressure on the juicing
cone (
2 a
and
2 b
combined or
2 b
).
Open the spout
5
by pressing it downwards.
Place a halved citrus fruit on the juicing cone
(
2 a
and
2 b
combined or
2 b
) with the cut surface
down and press it down. Due to the automatic
stop-start function, the motor runs automatically.
The squeezed juice flows through the sieve
3
,
where large fruit pulp and seeds are collected,
into the juice holder
4
and through the spout
5
into the glass. Releasing the pressure turns
the product off again. To achieve an optimal
juice yield, this process should be repeated a
few times.
Note:
Exerting too much pressure can block
the motor. In this case, reduce the pressure
somewhat.
Before the glass is served, close the spout
5
by pushing it upwards.
If fruit will be pressed again after a short time,
the product can be hygienically closed with the
cover
1
in the meantime.
Note:
Citrus juices should be drunk when
fresh. Under no circumstances should the juice
be stored in metal containers.
Cleaning and care
Unplug the mains plug after use.
All removable accessory parts are
dishwasher safe (up to 60 °C).
Before beginning to clean the product or putting
the removable parts in the dishwasher, remove
the majority of the seeds and fruit pulp from
the sieve
3
and dispose of these.
Then immediately clean the removable parts
with warm water and washing-up liquid or in
the dishwasher.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
