Playing CDs
Inserting a CD
NOTE
► It is not possible to guarantee playback for every self-burned CD-R or CD-
RW. If the burned CD-R or CD-RW does not play, this does not indicate that
the device is faulty.
♦ Press the / SOURCE button

, if necessary, to switch on the device.
When switched on for the first time, the device automatically starts in CD
mode.
♦ If the device is already switched on, but is not yet in CD mode, press the
/
SOURCE
button

briefly until "Cd" appears on the display .
♦ Open the CD compartment by lifting the lid carefully with your fingers.
To help you, there is a small indentation at the front right side of the CD
compartment . "OPEN" now appears on the display as soon as the
CD compartment lid is opened.
♦ Place the CD, with the printed side facing up, onto the tray spindle and
press it on gently until it clicks into place.
♦ Close the CD compartment by pressing the lid gently down. The display
first shows "----" and then shortly afterwards CD playback starts with the
first track on the CD.
NOTE
► If "NO" or "Err" appears on the display after inserting the CD, then it is
possible that you have inserted a data CD rather than a music CD. "NO"
also appears on the display
if there is no CD in the CD compartment or
if the CD is inserted the wrong way round.
Standard functions
Function in CD mode
Start
Press the ►/ II / SCAN / AMS button
Pause
Press the ►/ II / SCAN / AMS button during playback
(the number of the track currently playing flashes on the
display
)
Stop
Press the ■ ST / MONO button during playback
Next track
First press the −VOL+ / І◄◄ TUNE ►►І dial and then
turn it to the right until the required track is played.
Previous track
First press the −VOL+ / І◄◄ TUNE ►►І dial and then
turn it to the left until the required track is played.
