Operation
Making patterned waffles
1) Select the “patterned waffles” removable plates and insert them. Always ensure
that you insert the top removable plate in the top half of the appliance and
the bottom removable plate in the bottom half.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Never use two different removable plates at the same time.
2) Close the lid and lock it with the lid locking device
.
3) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red “Power” control lamp

lights up.
4) As soon as the appliance has heated up, the green “Ready” indicator
lamp
-
illuminates.
5) Undo the lid locking device
, open the lid and put approximately 1/2 tsp.
of batter (see “Recipes” chapter for recipes for patterned waffles) into each
of the moulds of the bottom removable plates.
NOTICE
►
Ensure that the batter has been distributed across all parts of the pattern.
Otherwise, parts of the pattern may be missing.
6) Close the lid and lock it with the lid locking device
.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
►
To avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the appliance, always remove
your patterned waffles with a plastic or wooden spoon or some other suitable,
non-metallic implement.
7) The patterned waffles are ready after about 3–4 minutes. Undo the lid lock-
ing device
, open the cover and remove the patterned waffles.
8) When you have finished preparing your patterned waffles, please discon-
nect the mains plug from the mains socket.
9) Allow the patterned waffles to cool down a little and trim any excess batter
from the edge of the patterned waffles with a knife.
10) Fill the patterned waffles with the required filling. Also spread a little of the
filling towards the edge of the patterned waffles and place the matching
counterpart on top so that both halves stick together, creating a hollow form.
