Important Safety Instructions 

Before using the appliance for the first time, please carefully read 
through the following instructions and note all warnings, even if you 
are familiar with handling electronic equipment. Store this manual in 
a safe place for future reference. Before stormy weather when there 
is the danger of lightning, disconnect the device from the power 
supply. 

WARNING: Notice on Mains Separation. In order to completely 
disconnect the device from the mains, the power plug must be pulled 
out from the wall outlet. To avoid the danger of fire if the device is not 
going to be used for a long while (e.g. during holidays), it should 
always be disconnected from the power socket. 

Operating Environment 

Position all devices on a stable, even surface and do not place any 
heavy objects on the subwoofer or the satellite speakers. The device 
is not for use in environments with a high temperature or humidity 
(e.g. bathrooms), and must be kept free of dust. Please note the 
operating environment requirements as found in the Technical 
Specifications on page 7. 

Please ensure that: 

ƒ

  there is free circulation of air  

ƒ

  no direct heat sources (e.g. heaters) act on the appliance 

ƒ

  contact with spray and dripping water and abrasive liquids must 

be avoided and the device should never be operated near water, 
and it must especially never be immersed  (do no place any 
objects filled with liquids such as vases or drinks near the device); 

ƒ

  do not place any fire (e.g. candlelights) onto or next to the device; 

ƒ

  do not introduce any foreign bodies into the device. 

Cables 

Always hold cables by the plug, and do not pull on the cable itself. 
Never touch the power supply cable with wet hands, since this may 
cause a short-circuit or electric shock. Never place the unit itself, 
items of furniture or other heavy objects on cables, and ensure that
