Use the
flash status
command to view the status of the two firmware images stored
in flash memory. Example C-14 shows sample output from the
flash status
command. Each image has a checksum value that indicates whether an image is valid.

Use
flash default
<a|b>
to set firmware image A or firmware image B as the default
image that the system controller uses when booting. The variable
<a|b>
is A or B. Use
flash default current
to set the current image as the default flash image. Use
flash default new
to set the new image as the default flash image. Use
flash
default old
to set the old image as the default flash image.
Use
flash default reset
to set the firmware image with the latest time stamp as the
default image that the system controller uses when booting. If the selected firmware
image is not valid, the flash default commands will return the following message:
cannot set default--image A (or B) is invalid!
