Warnings:
the equipment described here must be installed and commissioned by specialized technicians, in compliance with the regulations in force.
Operation:
this equipment is expressly designed to allow the communication between WiFi devices and Sil-Bus alarm control units. Caution! The FW
version of the control unit/Touch must be 3790L/3720L or later: earlier versions must be updated first.
Self-protection:
the equipment has no anti-opening or anti-removal kit since any tampering does not constitute a danger to the safety of the system. Any
impossibility to check/control the control unit via intranet and/or internet is replaced by other means of control in the unit.
Installation instructions:
a)
Open the box and secure it in a practical spot for the connection of the bus cable to the system
b)
Make sure that the Bus line in not powered and connect the terminal board of the equipment to the 4 wires of the Bus line as shown. The non-insulated
part of the conductors must be fully inside the terminals, to prevent short-circuits. It is possible to use wires measuring 0.15 in diameter for short distances
(<2m) between the Bus line and the equipment.
c)
Connect the supply: when the Bridge is not paired L1 flashes red, while L2 flashes green.
d)
Carry out the learning procedure described in the manual of the Sil-Bus control unit and proceed with the configuration
Programming as Access Point or Client and the consequent operation of the equipment are described in the manual of the control unit, since they are
strictly connected with the operation of the control unit itself.
Updating the Bridge:
the equipment can be updated, if necessary,
using a PC in local network with the Bridge itself. In Chrome, enter
the IP address of the Bridge that can be read on the touch keyboard
of the control unit (see the control unit instructions), then launch the
latest software update (previously downloaded onto the PC).
Resetting the Bridge parameters:
press P1 for 10 seconds until all
LEDs light up orange. The Bridge then restarts and returns to
condition c).
Bridge total reset:
only if the update has been unsuccessful, the
factory software can be reset. Temporarily disconnect the positive of
the Bridge and reconnect it keeping button P1 pressed for 10
seconds: LED 2 flashes red until the equipment restarts, returning to
situation c).
