Event Display
8. It is possible to show a total of 12 indications on the SignWave event display. Event 1 to 6 will be indicated with
a single light on the relevant key. The Battery Light (+6) plus a numbered key indicate events 7 to 12. Event 7 is
represented by the Battery Key (+6) and Key 1, 8 by Battery Key(+6) plus Key 2 and so on.
Control Switch settings
9. Control switches 1-4 are for system coding (to switch ON
– using the edge of the front cover move the switch to
the left away from the number adjacent to each switch). The switch settings need to correspond with the settings
of each transmitter option. 4 Control switches can be used to create a total of 16 different system channels and
should only be used where another system is being used in a dwelling close by.
10. Control switch 5 increases the operating range of the unit and should only be used where the operating range is
insufficient for a particularly large dwelling.
11. Control Switches A & B are not used and should be left in the OFF position.
Volume Control
12. The volume of the integral sounder can be altered using the volume control. Clockwise movement will increase
the volume whilst anticlockwise movement will reduce the volume.
Low Battery
13. When fully charged the integral battery should last approximately 4 days, although the unit should be placed on
the base unit on a bedside table each night to charge and provide night time cover. If the battery becomes low
the unit will buzz, the strobe will flash and the Battery Symbol will flash orange, four times. This sequence will
repeat once every 15 minutes until the unit is recharged on the Base Unit.
