Windows Installation
Make sure the driver is installed
before
plugging
the
USB to Serial Adapter Cable
into the computer.
Do Not
plug the
USB to Serial Adapter Cable
into
the computer until instructed to do so.
Windows 8 (32-/64-bit) / 7 (32-/64-bit) /
Server 2008 R2
1.
At the Windows desktop insert the driver
CD. Close the CD autoplay box if prompted.

Click
Windows
key and
R
key, type
D:\setup.exe
,
then press
Enter
. (Change
D:
to match your CD-ROM drive letter)

At User Account Control, click
Yes
. For
Server 2008 R2, skip this step.
4.
At Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for
PL-2303 USB to Serial, click
Next
,
then click
Finish
.
5.
Plug the
USB to Serial Adapter Cable
into a
USB port and the driver will install
automatically.
6.
Restart Windows to complete the
installation.
