Hardware Installation
1.
Power off the computers and monitor you plan to
connect to this switch.
2.
PC 1 connectivity: The switch is powered by the PC
connected to VIDEO 1 port. This port needs to be
active in order for the switch to work.
a. Connect PC 1’s VGA out to the switch’s VIDEO
1 port using the provided
Port1 VGA cable (6ft)
.
b. Plug in the USB connector to PC 1’s USB port.
The switch is powered through this PC.
3.
Connect PC 2’s VGA out to the switch’s VIDEO 2
port using the provided
Port2 VGA cable (0.66ft)
.
4.
Connect a VGA monitor to the switch’s VIDEO OUT
port using a VGA cable (not included).
5.
Turn on the monitor, then computers.
6.
The
2x1 VGA Switch
is now ready to use.
Switching between 2 PC’s
There are two ways to switch between PC’s: front panel
buttons or switch button on the cables.
For front panel buttons switching, press button 1 or 2 to
switch between PC’s.
For switch button switching, press the switch button
located on the VGA cable to switch to that PC.
