Message in data block
Overview
Please note the following for direct access to DBs (e.g. using an OP).
If data errors/machine data errors/traversing program errors are detected when the
parameters are written to the data block (e.g. in the parameterization tool), an error
message is stored in the data block. The error-specification is stored in the form of
an error number in the corresponding data block (see error list in Table 11-8
. The
error message occurs each time the data block is written to until the cause has
been eliminated.
It is recommended to scan the error message after every write operation.

Viewing the diagnostic buffer (PG/PC)
Overview
The last five error messages are stored in the diagnostic buffer.
There are two ways of proceeding:
1. In the
S7 SIMATIC Manager
select the menu
File > Open > Accessible
Nodes
.
2. In the
Accessible Nodes
window, select the MPI address of your module.
3. You can view the diagnostic buffer in the menu
Target system > Module
status
or
1. Open your project in the
S7 SIMATIC Manager
.
2. Select the menu
View > Online.
3. In the dialog box, select the
FM 353 and the associated program.
4. You can view the diagnostic buffer in the menu

status
