4.1
Block diagram
The following diagram shows the connection of the input and output interfaces.
All inputs are joined together internally by means of an OR function so that only
one input is allowed to be connected for transmission of an explicit signal. The
optical output is connected directly to the OR gate and cannot be influenced by
the device parameter assignment. The operating modes described in the follow-
ing sections can be used for electrical outputs. The parameters are assigned
exclusively via a DIP switch on the front of the housing.
