Introduction
The connection between the extensions and the system is provided with cables as follows:

The end of the cable that is attached to the system’s Main Distribution Frame uses one of the
Connector types shown in “Main Distribution Frame” on page 3-100.

Installing telephone terminals
A
System Telephone
has four wires (A, B, C, D), two used for voice (A, B), and two for data
(C, D).
An
optiPoint-type system telephone
has four wires (A, B, C, D), two of which (A, B) are
required for voice communications.
A
Standard Telephone (DP/MF)
has only two wires (A, B), both used for voice.
