Connections to the system’s MDF
Introduction
Attach cables to the system’s Main Distribution Frame and route them through the conduits and
openings to reach the carrier’s main telephone distribution cabinet. Below are some examples
of configurations.

Warning
When using the RSA version, extension lines with a C/D interface must only be in-
stalled indoors. Only regular extensions (without a C/D interface) can be installed
outdoors.

The installation of a KS type system telephone requires a CD pair in conjunction with an A/B extension slot (see
“Installing telephone terminals” on page 4-186).
