Caller ID
When you receive a call, the caller's
number and/or name is displayed on the
screen if the following conditions are met:
u
Your network provider supports CIP, CI,
and CNIP.
– CI (caller ID): the caller's number is
transmitted.
– CIP (caller ID presentation): the
caller's number is displayed.
– CNIP (calling name identification
presentation): the caller's name is
displayed.
u
You have arranged CIP or CNIP with
your network provider.
u
The caller has requested CI from the
network provider.
Call display with CIP/CI
If the caller's number is saved in your
directory, the caller's name will be dis-
played.

2 Number or name of caller
The following is displayed in place of the
number:
u
External
, if no number is transmitted.
u
Unavailable
, if the caller has not
arranged caller ID.
Display with CNIP
If you have CNIP, the name (town/city)
that is registered with your network pro-
vider for the caller's number will
also
be
displayed. If the number of the caller is
stored in your directory, the CNIP display is
replaced by the corresponding directory
entry.
