Media player

You can use the audio playback with

the Media player also if the clamshell

is closed.
Viewing pictures and video stream-

ing/playback is only possible if the

clamshell is open.

Start the Media player

Clamshell closed

Select to open the music

tab of the Media player.

You access directly the

Music

tab.

Clamshell open

When you view a picture/video or lis-

ten to a melody, the application (e.g.

Camera, Messages, My stuff) starts

the media player automatically.
The media player functions are ac-

cessible via 4 tabs:

Music

Pictures

Videos

and

Bookmarks

Select tab.

The media player contains files

stored on the phone memory

as well as files stored on the Micro

SD Card (those files are marked).

Music

The music tab includes MP3 and AAC

files. For fast access, the tracks are

sorted by the following categories:
•

Playlists

: Display configured/new

playlists (page 113).

•

Recent

: Display the 20 most

recently played tracks (up to 25).

•

All

: Display all saved tracks sorted

by track name.

• An incoming call puts playback in the

background automatically (page 32).

• Closing the clamshell extis the Media

player except if the music tab is selected

or during audio playback.

If audio playback was started from an-

other application (e.g. My stuff), the

Media player as well as the other

application is closed if you close the

clamshell.

If you close the clamshell the current list is

displayed on the outer display.
