Operating the appliance

This appliance only works when it is completely extended.

Note: 

Switch on the extractor hood when you start cooking and 

switch it off again several minutes after you have finished 

cooking. This is the most effective way of removing the kitchen 

fumes.

Extending/retracting the appliance

Risk of injury!

Risk of jamming when retracting and extending the appliance. 
Never reach into the moving area of the appliance while it is 
being retracted or extended. Keep children at a safe distance.

Risk of injury!

Cookware set down within the movement area of the appliance 
can fall over. Hot liquids that pour out can cause injury. Do not 
set down any cookware within the movement area of the 
appliance.

Note: 

If the appliance has been temporarily disconnected from 

the power supply, it will retract fully.

Extending the appliance

1.

Remove any objects from the appliance's area of movement.

2.

Press the 

#

 button.

The appliance extends fully. The fan starts at level 2. The 

lighting switches on at maximum power.

Retracting the appliance
Note: 

The filter cover must be completely closed.

1.

Remove any objects from the appliance's area of movement.

2.

Press and hold the 

#

 button for two seconds.

The appliance retracts fully. The lighting and the fan switch off 

automatically.

Setting the fan

Note: 

Always adjust the fan strength to meet current conditions. 

If there is a large build-up of steam or fumes, select a high fan 

setting.

Switching on

Press the 1, 2, 3 or 4/

G

 button to set the corresponding fan 

level.
The button for the set fan level lights up.

Switching off

Press the 

#

 button.

Intensive setting

You can use the intensive setting if there is a large build-up of 

odours and fumes/vapours.

1.

Press and hold the 4/

G

 button while the ventilation system is 

switched on.
The 4/

G

 button flashes once per second. Intensive mode is 

activated.

2.

Press the 4/

G

 or 

#

 button.

Intensive mode is deactivated.

Note: 

The run time of the intensive mode is 6 minutes. Once 

this time has elapsed, the appliance switches back to the fan 

level that was previously set.

Interval ventilation

With interval ventilation, the ventilation system switches on 

automatically for 10 minutes every hour. The appliance 

switches off after 24 hours.

Note: 

If the intensive mode or fan run-on are activated, the 

interval ventilation is not available.

 buttons light up. The interval ventilation is 

switched on. The fan starts at level 1.

Press the

 button.

The interval ventilation is switched off.

Fan run-on time

Note: 

If the intensive mode is activated, fan run-on is not 

available.

1.

Select the fan level.

2.

Press the 

y

 button.

The 

#

 and 

y

 buttons light up. The fan continues to run at 

this fan level for 15 minutes and then switches off 

automatically once this time has elapsed. If the lighting is 

switched on, this is also switched off once the run-on time 

has elapsed.

3.

Press the 

y

 button or the 

#

 button.

The fan run-on ends before the remaining run-on time has 

elapsed.

Lighting

The lighting can be switched on and off independently of the 

ventilation system.
Press the 

B

 button.

The 

B

 button lights up.

Setting the brightness

1.

Press and hold the 

B

 button for 2 seconds.

The brightness is reduced.

2.

Press the 

B

 button.

The maximum brightness is restored.
