SAFETY INFORMATION

Intended use
The Visionary-B CV system is designed for use in heavy trucks working off road.
It serves as a driver assistance system designed to enhance collision awareness within
defined detection zones.
The technical specifications do not include specific climatic requirements.
Any use outside the specified areas is deemed unintended and will render any claims
against SICK AG under the terms of the warranty null and void.
2.3
Foreseeable misuse
IMPORTANT!
Specifically excluded from intended use is use in:
• Explosive atmospheres
•
Operating environments which do not meet the specified requirements
• Applications which place particularly demanding requirements on safety technology
(in such cases, the operator must check safety on a case-by-case basis)
As a general rule, the driver assistance system must not be used other than as
intended.
The driver assistance system is
not
suitable for (this list is not exhaustive):
•
Use under water
•
Installation in vehicles which are used on public roads and as such are subject to
permit restrictions
•
Reliable accident prevention for persons or objects

Qualifications of operating personnel
The driver assistance system must be configured, mounted, connected, commissioned,
and serviced by qualified safety personnel only.
Project planning
For project planning, a person is considered qualified when he/she has expertise and
experience in the selection and use of protective devices on machines and is familiar
with the relevant technical rules and national work safety regulations.
Mechanical mounting and commissioning
For mechanical installation and commissioning, a person is considered qualified when
he/she has expertise and experience in the relevant field and is sufficiently familiar with
the application of the protective devices on a machine to assess whether or not it can
be operated safely.
Electrical installation
For electrical installation and commissioning, a person is considered qualified when
he/she has expertise and experience in the relevant field and is sufficiently familiar with
the application of the protective devices on a machine to assess whether or not it can
be operated safely.
Operation and maintenance
For operation and maintenance, a person is considered qualified when he/she has
expertise and experience in the relevant field, is sufficiently familiar with the application
