EMC protection requirements
In accordance with IEC 60947-5-3
1)
Not taking into account load currents at the application diagnostic outputs.
2)
Corresponds to the response time in accordance with IEC 60947-5-3. It is the maximum switch-off delay
of the safety outputs after removing the actuator. In the case of EMC disturbances that exceed the
requirements in accordance with IEC 60947-5-3, the switch-off delay can increase to max. 430 ms
(T4000-1RCA02) or 750 ms (T4000-1RCA04). After brief actuation < 0.4 s (T4000-1RCA02) or < 0.8 s
(T4000-1RCA04), the switch-on delay may increase to max. 3 s in the event of actuation immediately
afterwards.
3)
If a switching current of > 300 mA is switched once via the relay outputs with a switching voltage of > 15
V, it is no longer possible to reliably switch a low current (≤ 15 mA) due to the erosion of the gold con‐
tacts.
4)
It must be ensured that the current and voltage are chosen so that a switching capacity of at least
50 mW is achieved.
5)
After the supply voltage has been switched on, the relay outputs are switched off and the application
diagnostic output is at LOW potential during the time delay before availability.
6)
The dwell time of an actuator outside the response range must be at least 3 s in order to ensure reliable
detection of internal faults in the evaluation unit (self-monitoring).
7)
In operation with EDM, the actuators must be outside the response range (e.g. when a door is opened) at
least until EDM has ended.
8)
Not short-circuit protected.

NOTE
A minimum distance of S = 3 mm must be observed in the case of a side approach
direction for actuator and sensor in order to avoid entering the response range of the
side lobe.
